Anne & Aaron’s Ellis County Courthouse Wedding, Wyatt Mansion Waxahachie

Anne & Aaron are teachers from Austin.  They met and figured out they had something in common.  They love history, old buildings, and more uniquely, they love old courthouse buildings.  So, one summer, they decided to take a drive.  After two summers and many vacation days later, they looked back and had traveled 14,500 miles….and seen EVERY County Courthouse in Texas!  They visited all 254 counties in the state on their journey.  Halfway through, Aaron proposed to Anne.  She said yes.  When they were done with their trip, they chose the most beautiful courthouse in Texas to be married in, right here in Ellis County.  About 80 of their closest friends and family made the drive up from Austin to celebrate with them.  The good people at the Wyatt Mansion in Waxahachie recommended us to photograph the wedding and reception.  We met Anne & Aaron at the Chaska House Bed & Breakfast for a few portraits, then headed to The Courthouse for the wedding, followed by a BBQ reception at The Wyatt Mansion.  By the way, if you want AWESOME ribs, check out Pit Stop BBQ In Waxahachie, on Hwy 287.  Killer.  Period.  I digress….Here are a few of our favorite images from Anne & Aarons’ very unique story.  If you’d like to see it all as covered by Channel 8 WFFA Here in Dallas, I’ve provided a link to their story, here.
