Anne & Darrell – Ruthe Jackson Center Wedding, Grand Prairie

Anne & Darrell were married at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie.  Their wedding was beautiful, held out on the garden gazebo, with their reception in the ballroom.  They were greeted by friends and family as they made a grand exit into a stretch limo.  Every wedding has a unique “something” that happens, or a decoration that is interesting, or a guest that acts crazy, and this wedding had a very unique cake.  Both wedding cake and the groom’s cakes were beautiful, but the GROOM’S cake was very unique.  It was such a realistic likeness of the cooker, The Big Green Egg, that someone actually tried to open it, and broke the handle off the lid.  As we photographed it, we didn’t notice, but the groom pointed out later than someone wanted to see what was “inside of it” and tried to lift the lid, breaking the handle!  I’d say the baker did an amazing job at replicating The Egg.

The images in our gallery are “spreads” from their wedding album.  They chose to upgrade to our Custom Design Album, and took a 9×12″ version with a metallic cover.  Each spread is 2-pages, and their wedding album is one of our favorite designs.  Each design we do is custom, but we do try to keep the architecture simple, allowing the images to be seen, rather than hide behind the design.
