Donna and Britt are getting married at Chapel Creek Manor in Waxahachie this spring. Britt and Donna love the outdoors and wanted an engagement session that reflected their love for the woods and the water. We found a quiet stretch of creek bottom this fall to make their engagement pictures. One thig about Donna and Britt that is worth noting, and something that presented a unique set of challenges, is that they are both deaf. At first communication on the finer points of posing and body language was a challenge, but after a few minutes and a little more “demonstration” than usual (not pretty when Chris does this, by the way, LOL) they picked up what we were telling them easily. When all else failed we just sent them text messages to be clear, since we don’t know much sign language. In the end, they loved the portraits, and more importantly they love each other as much as anyone we’ve ever photographed. We are looking forward to their big day in April.
