Felicia and Peter’s wedding was at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, followed by their reception at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano. Felicia’s parents were married at Royal Lane Baptist, so the ceremony was especially meaningful. We took time after the ceremony to re-create a photo that her parents have hanging in their home, with a modern twist. When you see it in the gallery, you’ll recognize it. Felicia and Peter had so much love for each other and their families, and they made the day really easy for us. They had a noon wedding, so they decided to do a grand exit from the church. The photos are really pretty, full of life and laughter and color. So many times when couples choose to exit, all of the guests have already gone home. But the church send off is a good way to keep your guests involved in the celebration and your pictures will generally be better because of that. RLBC is a fantastic church, with high ceilings and a great balcony to shoot from. The bride and groom suites are spacious and the walk way between buildings makes a really interesting lighting pattern for photos. Gleneagles Country Club speaks for itself. The staff was so accommodating and the GIANT windows filled with daylight were a pleasure to photograph in. We normally don’t see daylight during wedding receptions, so this was a welcome change. Take a good look at the funny exploding bouquet toss and at the adorable ring bearer trying to blow out all of the candles on the guest tables. We also love the image of the bridal party made in the entry hall at GE.
